Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of TinyPact, a personal commitment tracking application developed and maintained by TinyPact ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using TinyPact, you agree to these terms.

Please read them. They are written in plain language deliberately.

1. The Product

TinyPact is a personal productivity application for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS that helps you track weekly commitments, run calibration rituals, and maintain a personal record of your consistency over time.

TinyPact is offered in two tiers:

Free tier — full daily logging loop, weekly calibration, pattern recognition, and six weeks of history.

Unlocked tier — all free features plus full history, monthly and quarterly reviews, the yearly Ledger Ceremony, AI-ready exports, and iCloud sync. Unlocked via a one-time in-app purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TinyPact. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app and agree to these terms.

By using TinyPact, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. The One-Time Purchase

What you get

The one-time unlock purchase grants you a perpetual, non-transferable license to use all current and future TinyPact features for as long as the app is available on the platform where you purchased it.

No subscription

TinyPact does not offer a subscription. The one-time purchase is final and includes all future updates. We will never convert the one-time purchase model to a subscription model without offering existing purchasers a permanent grandfather option at no additional cost.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restore purchase

If you reinstall TinyPact or install it on a new device, you can restore your purchase at no cost using the "Restore Purchase" option in Settings. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID.

4. Your Data

Ownership

All data you create in TinyPact — chapters, baselines, log entries, notes, reviews, and exports — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not store your personal data on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Export

You may export your data as Markdown files at any time. Your exported data is yours to keep, share, or use however you choose. We place no restrictions on what you do with your own data.

Deletion

You may delete your TinyPact data at any time by deleting the app. If iCloud Sync is enabled, you should disable it before deleting the app, or manually remove TinyPact data from iCloud in your device settings.

Sealed records

Certain records — sealed weeks, completed reviews — are made immutable within the app as a product design decision. This is intended to preserve the integrity of your personal record. This limitation applies only within the TinyPact app and does not affect your ability to export or delete your underlying data.

5. Acceptable Use

TinyPact is a personal tool. You agree to use it only for lawful personal purposes and not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of TinyPact.
• Use TinyPact in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks associated with TinyPact.
• Use automated tools to interact with TinyPact in ways not intended by its design.

6. Intellectual Property

Our property

TinyPact, including its name, design, code, copy, visual identity, and all associated materials, is owned by TinyPact and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited license to use the app described herein.

Your content

We do not claim intellectual property rights over the content you create within TinyPact. Your chapter names, notes, identity statements, and personal records are yours.

7. Updates and Changes

App updates

We may update TinyPact from time to time to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. Updates to the unlocked tier are included in your one-time purchase at no additional cost.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the free tier at any time. We will not remove features from the unlocked tier without notice and reasonable alternatives.

Terms updates

We may update these Terms of Service. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and note the change in the app's release notes. Continued use of TinyPact after a terms update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

We will never update these terms in a way that materially reduces your rights without providing clear notice.

8. Availability and Continuity

App availability

We intend to maintain TinyPact for as long as it is technically feasible. However, we cannot guarantee the app will be available indefinitely. App availability depends on factors including Apple platform support, which are outside our direct control.

Data continuity

Because your data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account, your data remains accessible to you regardless of the app's continued availability. Exported Markdown files are readable without the app and will remain so permanently.

Service discontinuation

If we ever discontinue TinyPact, we will:

• Provide at least 90 days notice via the app and our website.
• Ensure the export function remains available throughout the notice period.
• Not seek to delete or invalidate your local or iCloud-stored data.

9. Disclaimers

TinyPact is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• Any bugs or defects will be corrected within a specific timeframe.
• The app will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

TinyPact is a personal tracking tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice of any kind. The patterns and observations surfaced by the app are informational and should not be relied upon as professional guidance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TinyPact and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of TinyPact shall not exceed the amount you paid for the one-time unlock purchase, or $10 USD if no purchase was made.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where TinyPact is operated. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of TinyPact shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, depending on local law.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TinyPact regarding your use of the app. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
