Overview

TinyPact is a personal commitment tracking app. We built it on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train models. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how.

What We Collect

Data you create

Everything you enter into TinyPact — chapters, baselines, log entries, notes, calibration responses, review completions, identity statements, and Long Arc goals — is yours. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.

We never see this data. It does not pass through our servers.

Purchase data

If you purchase the one-time unlock, Apple processes the transaction. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, but we do not receive your payment details, name, or Apple ID. Purchase status is stored locally on your device and synced via CloudKit if iCloud Sync is enabled.

Crash and diagnostic data

If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your iOS privacy settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash reports and basic diagnostic information. This data contains no personal content from your TinyPact entries. We use it solely to identify and fix bugs.

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs. We do not embed tracking libraries, advertising frameworks, or behavioral analytics tools of any kind.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes.
• We do not collect your chapter names, log entries, notes, or any personal content.
• We do not collect behavioral analytics or usage patterns.
• We do not use cookies or web tracking of any kind.
• We do not share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, your TinyPact data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

iCloud Sync is optional and off by default. You may disable it at any time in Settings. Disabling iCloud Sync does not delete your local data.

Data Exports

TinyPact allows you to export your data as Markdown files. These exports are generated entirely on your device and delivered directly to you. We do not receive, store, or have access to your exported files.

If you choose to share an exported file with a third-party AI service (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or others), that data is governed by the privacy policy of that service. We have no control over how third-party services handle data you voluntarily submit to them.

Data Storage and Security

All TinyPact data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. If iCloud Sync is enabled, data is transmitted to Apple's CloudKit infrastructure using end-to-end encrypted connections.

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. We do not have access to your TinyPact content at any time.

Sealed weeks and completed reviews are immutable within the app — they cannot be edited after sealing. This is a product design decision, not a security mechanism, and applies only within the TinyPact app itself.

Children's Privacy

TinyPact is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through TinyPact, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and note the change in the app's release notes. Continued use of TinyPact after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

We will never change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy protections without providing clear notice.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because TinyPact stores all data locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you have direct control over your data at all times.

To delete your TinyPact data: delete the app from your device. To remove iCloud data: disable iCloud Sync in Settings before deleting the app, or manually delete TinyPact data from iCloud Drive in your iOS Settings.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TinyPact is operated. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be resolved in accordance with applicable local law.
